Equine Retreats & Workshops

Listen to your body, trust your spirit, come home to yourself

Cavalo Calling guides women to their own purpose through horses, movement and meditation practices.

Held by the grounding rhythm of the land, with horses as mirrors and a community of women alongside her, she finds clarity, self-trust, and the confidence to move forward authentically.

  • “I came to Gianna at a major crossroads in my life and felt overwhelmed by competing options. What stood out most was how grounded and steady she is. She didn’t push me toward an answer or try to fix anything. Instead, she asked precise questions and helped me untangle what actually mattered. Over time, the decision became clear—not because someone told me what to do, but because I could finally hear myself think.”

    ~Amber

  • “I did an equine coaching session with Gianna. With her guidance and the horse’s responses, I was able to see how I was showing up in the world - things I did not evern realize. I left with a sense of what I needed to work on to make a shift in my life.”

    ~Anne

  • “I joined Gianna’s six-week dance and coaching series not knowing exactly what to expect, and it surprised me in the best way. The movement brought up emotions and parts of myself I didn’t know were there, but the space felt safe and grounded the whole time. The group was small and intimate, which made it easier to feel safe. Gianna’s presence made a big difference, I never felt rushed or pushed. I left feeling more connected to myself and wanting to go back.”

MEET YOUR GUIDE

Gianna Brasil-Ross

I've stood at a crossroads more than once: changing careers, moving places, questioning why we're expected to stay in lives that no longer fit. It wasn't that something was wrong; staying the same simply stopped feeling true. Deep down, I knew I wasn't meant for just one path, and that questioning became the beginning of my own self-discovery, the work that eventually led me here.

Movement has always been central to my life, first as a competitive figure skater, later through somatic dance and expressive arts. The body holds so much of how we carry stress and emotion, and that understanding deepened when I became a mother. Watching how horses' calm, regulated presence supported my daughter, who is highly sensitive with sensory processing differences, reshaped my work entirely.

Horses became some of my greatest teachers. Their quiet wisdom showed me the power of slowing down, listening to the body, and reconnecting with our own inner compass, our sense of purpose.

Drawing from my background in movement, my training as a certified Wayfinder Life Coach, and my studies in ecotherapy, equine-facilitated learning, and expressive arts, alongside my current training in Equine Somatic Pathways™ under therapist Cara Gereau, LMFT, I guide women through slowing down, emotional regulation, and finding clarity and steadiness, especially potent at life's thresholds.

Whether you're standing at a clear threshold or simply curious where this work might lead, I'd love for you to come meet the horses for yourself. This work has shaped everything about how I move through the world, and I built Cavalo Calling so other women could find that same clarity, in their own time and their own way.

noun

From cavalo, Portuguese for horse, a nod to founder Gianna Brasil-Ross's Brazilian heritage. The purpose and direction a woman discovers in herself, found through connection with horses. The horse is the channel; the calling belongs to her.
